D-CQB courses
D-CQB (Drone-Close Quarters Battle)
D-CQB or drone-based room cleaning, is a new concept gaining popularity. The goal is to first send a robot into a dangerous area that can provide an initial view of the premises to prevent possible injuries to people or canines. It is a cheap and quickly replaceable system. An unmanned aerial vehicle indoors is a force multiplier – replacing the role of a pointman. Systems allow to illuminate dark rooms and corridors, carry a loudspeaker to transmit messages, transport two-way communication devices for negotiation, or tear gas, light, stun or smoke grenades.
What makes this course special is the use of realistic locations and scenarios, rather than just closed and uniform training areas. These include schools, shopping malls, urban training areas, apartment buildings, industrial buildings, ports and other potential public locations.
